Faith Based Friday

Hello, friends!

I thought this scripture from Lamentations was a great way to start today's Faith Based Friday post.  Lately I've had a lot of opportunities to see God's un-ending love for me and others.  It's comforting to meditate on this scripture ... "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases" ... He will love us no matter what.  He won't love us more because of our good deeds and He won't love us less when we fall short.  His love is steadfast ... "resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering".  Praise God!

I made today's card to send to my up-line, Ronda Wade, after her recent medical emergency with her daughter.  (I'm hoping she has received it before this post goes live.)  Ronda experienced a great deal of love from people as she supported her daughter and she absolutely enjoyed God's steadfast love as she never even had fear.  She knew He was there and that His will was best, no matter what!

In keeping with this week's "Project Life" theme, the rich razzleberry polka dot background is one of my project life cards.  Other than that, this was a quick and easy card to put together.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a safe weekend and until next time, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

Project Life Week ... FORE!

Hello again, friends!

Today I have a Project Life page to share with you.  As I was getting ready to write this post, I realized that I had already posted this page on my blog once, but since it was part of a two-page spread and the picture wasn't the best, I decided to go ahead and post it again.  I love this page!

I love that my Project Life kits come with cards that have some phrases printed on them.  This one I thought was perfect for this page!  There's no question my baby is happy when he's playing golf ... actually he's happy when he's doing ANY sport.  I love that Project Life by Stampin' Up! makes it easy for me to document these moments.

Tomorrow I have a Faith Based Friday Project Life card to share with you.  Until then, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

Project Life Week ~ A get well card

Hello friends!

Welcome back to Project Life Week!

Today's post is a special card for a special girl.  If you read my Faith Based Friday post last Friday, you saw my post about my up-line Ronda's daughter and the scary medical ordeal she recently went through.  I'm happy to report she is home recovering now!  God is good!  I wanted to send Erica a card and when I saw this Project Life card in my pack, I knew it was perfect!

I just added a sentiment and some framing with complimenting colors and "voila!", I had a cute card ready to go!  I'm loving making cards with my Project Life supplies!

Tomorrow I will have another scrapbook page to share.  Until then, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

Project Life Week! ~ Vacation Book Complete!

Hello again, friends, and welcome to day two of Project Life week!  Today I have a scrapbook page to share, but before I do, let me tell you a little about it.  My family took a cruise vacation to Hawaii in December of 2013.  I took over 1,000 pictures and was planning a fabulous scrapbook.  I got home, loaded them on my computer and they sat there ..... for six months!  The Stampin' Up! introduced Project Life and I KNEW that was the way I would get my Hawaii scrapbook done!  As luck would have it, my friend, Michelle, hosted a scrapbook retreat one weekend and I took advantage of that time to get my scrapbook done.  I took my project life supplies with me and worked on it Friday night and most of the day Saturday and I WAS DONE!!  Over 1,000 pictures and I WAS DONE in two days!  It was awesome and I was hooked!

So anyway ... here's one of the pages from my Hawaii Project Life scrapbook:

Quick and cute!  Definitely my kind of scrapbooking!

Tomorrow I'm back to creating a card with Project Life.  I hope you'll stop back by.  Or, make it easy on yourself and just subscribe by typing your email address in on the top left of my blog (under my picture) and my blog will arrive in your email everyday for you to read when you're ready.  (You may need to add my blog to your "approved" list so it doesn't go to spam.)

Until next time, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

Kicking Off Project Life Week!

Hello, friends!

We had such a fun time doing the Blendabilities week a couple weeks ago that I decided I want to do a week of posts featuring Project Life.  Project Life is primarily a memory keeping tool.  In brief, it's pocket pages that you just slip photos and coordinating Project Life cards in to and create beautiful scrapbook pages in no time!  I made scrapbook pages for my son's class for a back-to-school gift and I made 18 pages in about an hour and a half!  That's my kind of memory keeping!  I realize, however, that not everyone is in to scrapbooking or memory keeping, so while I WILL feature a couple memory album pages this week, I will also feature a few CARDS I created using Project Life cards.  I hadn't really played with making cards with the project life card, but now that I have, I LOVE IT!  I can create really cute cards in a really short amount of time.

So anyway  .... here we go ... let's get Project Life week started.  I decided to start the week with a card just to show that it's not JUST memory keeping:

I love that cute little Koala and it was super easy to put this card together with my project life kit.  The card the Koala is stamped on is a Project Life card (the circles were pre-printed on it).  I just framed it with a layer of blackberry bliss card stock.  And the cute little glittery flag on the top of the card is a wood element in one of the Project Life accessory kits.  I just colored it with my Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities marker and added a little glitter.  This card came together so fast and easy!  I love it!

Check back tomorrow for a scrapbook page featuring project life.

Until then, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

Faith Based Friday

Hello friends!

If you are a regular follower of my blog, you probably know that Faith Based Friday is my favorite day on my blog!  I look forward to it all week!  And so Thursday night (as I type this), I have absolutely nothing stamped that goes along with "Faith Based Friday" and so I thought about just not doing a Faith Based Friday post this week, but then I decided I would share a little bit with you of how I saw God this week and how my faith was strengthened through a terrifying experience of a friend.

My up-line, Ronda, who has a heart for Jesus like few I've ever seen before had a very scary situation this week that involved her young daughter being hospitalized with an aggressive bacteria that was attacking her skull and brain.  When I got the prayer request, I was immediately TERRIFIED for Ronda and her sweet girl and I prayed so hard so many times during the day for them.  I was distracted most of the day by thoughts of Ronda and Erica and was anxious to hear that everything was okay ... but all along, I was so scared for her.

Long story short, GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS and Erica came through surgery well and they believe they got all the bacteria and that it did NOT penetrate her brain which is just amazing!  I KNOW without a doubt that there were literally hundreds (if not thousands) of people praying for that little girl and I know without a doubt that God was in complete control the entire time.

I mentioned that I saw God in this situation and, of course, I saw God in answering the prayers and bringing this little girl through this ordeal with a very positive prognosis.  But the biggest way I saw God was in Ronda's reaction.  I knew Ronda was a prayerful and faith-filled woman, but honestly, in that situation, with your child being threatened by a scary bacteria, who WOULDN'T be terrified and worry and cry and beg God to help their baby!  I know I would.  But in one of Ronda's messages to me, she said "I did not feel one ounce of fear or worry...almost supernaturally. I had so much faith and trust because I knew there were thousands of prayers going out for her. God was listening and I knew whatever happened it was the best."  WOW!!  Ronda's faith is just OVER-FLOWING!  I read that message and I thought "man, I want to have THAT MUCH faith in God" ... it made me realize that my faith is still probably in its infancy in comparison.  But I grew just in that moment in my faith.  Ronda, in one of her biggest challenges in life, unknowingly handed out a little lesson in faith.  I was reminded just how BIG our God is!  Obviously, I really can't even find the right words to express the impact Ronda's faith had on me, but I am definitely changed by hearing even her very brief testimony about her sweet girl.

I saw this picture on Pinterest and I thought it applied beautifully to this story:

There's no question Ronda's faith was so much bigger than her fear!  I am praising God for the answered prayers in her family and for all the blessings in my life.  God is good ... all the time!

Until next time my friends, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

A color challenge chuckle

Hello again, friends!

Yesterday I shared a card that I made for My Stamping Best Friend's sketch challenge.  Today, I'm sharing another card I made for a MSBF challenge ... this one is just for members.  The color challenge was to make a project with Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Pool Party.

Sunday night I just started looking through my stamp sets to decide which set I wanted to use and I saw my "Hello Love" hostess set and for the first time, I noticed the sentiment that said "Keep it real".  I don't know why, but that just struck me as something I could be silly with and so I came up with this:

So this is definitely not a complicated or super creative card, but it made me chuckle and so it was a keeper!  (Isn't that WHY we stamp anyway?  IT'S FUN!)  I love that little bird and I think she's perfect with that sentiment.

Okay ... that's it for today.  Make sure to stop by tomorrow for What's Up Wednesday to get the scoop on all of this week's deals and Stampin' Up! news!

Until then, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

My Stamping Best Friend ~ Sketch Challenge

Hello friends ... and happy Monday!

I'm starting my week off right .... with stamping!  (Okay, technically, I did the stamping on Sunday but hey .. Sunday is the "official" start of the week, right?)

Anyway ... over at My Stamping Best Friend (the brain child of my fabulous up-line, Ronda Wade and the super talented Maggie Patterson) they have kicked off a monthly sketch challenge.  Here's the sketch for this month:

And here's my take on the sketch challenge:

I took a couple creative liberties with the card (but hey, isn't that what a sketch is meant to be? ... a STARTING point).  I decided to make my card landscape instead of portrait and I kept the "circle" part in front of the strip instead of behind it.  I purposely left off a sentiment because I felt like the card front was pretty busy already and I kind of liked it just like it was.

Did you know that YOU can participate in My Stamping Best Friend's sketch challenge?  You don't even have to be a member.  If you would like to learn more about participating in the challenge, CLICK ON OVER and check it out.

That's it for today, friends.  Until next time, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a VERY Blessed day!

Faith Based Friday ~ Blendabilites Day 5

Hello again, friends .... and HAPPY FRIDAY!

For those of you who visit my blog regularly, you know that Friday's are "Faith Based Friday" on my blog.  My faith is the driving force in my life and in my Stampin' Up! business and so it feels natural to dedicate a day to some sort of Faith-Based project.

Today's project is not "obviously" a faith based project (There's no "God bless" on there.) but sometimes we practice our faith just by loving others and, in my humble opinion, sending someone a hand-stamped card is a beautiful way to show our love.  When I was looking for inspiration for today's post, I ran across this picture:

I love polar bears!  They are my absolute favorite exhibit at the zoo ... so graceful for such big animals.  Anyway ... that cute picture inspired me to create a snow themed card that could be mailed to someone just to say "I'm thinking of you" or, better yet, "I'm praying for you":

If you've been following our blog hop this week, you know my friend, Ruth and I have been featuring the Blendabilities markers.  On this card, I used my Blendabilities markers to color the designer paper.  (It is originally white with silver snow flakes on it)  I'm afraid my picture is not the best picture because even though I colored over the entire image, the snow flakes are still very metallic and shiny.  It's a beautiful card in person.

Don't forget to visit Ruth's page today for our last day of our blog hop.  You can find Ruth's blog by CLICKING HERE.

If you haven't done so already, I would love it if you subscribed to my blog through email.  You can do that on the left-hand side of my blog just below my picture.  All you need to do is type in your email address and my blog posts will automatically go to your email for you to read at your leisure.  (Please check your spam folder the first day or two ... you may have to add me to your approved list.  I subscribed myself to test this feature and my blog went to my spam.)   :(

Until next week, my friends, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a VERY Blessed day!

Blendabilities - Day 4

Hello Friends:

Thanks for all the support this week for Blendabilities Week!  We've been having a lot of fun and I hope you've had fun too ... and learned some new things you can do with this awesome product.

For today's post I had originally wanted to show you all the things you can color with your Blendabilities markers.  (rhinestones, clothespins, pearls, candles, brads, vellum ... the list goes on and one and on!)  But, thanks to some very unfortunate technical difficulties, ALL the pictures I had taken got deleted.  DOH!!  So .... all I have to actually SHOW you today that you can color on is one of our Very Vintage Designer buttons.  But ... through another twist in technology, I will go ahead and link you to a TON of products below that you can color on with our Blendabilities markers.  I've tried most of them and the results are ALWAYS awesome.  Have you ever been working on a project and you thought about adding a button or brad or twine or ribbon, but you didn't have the right color?  That's not a problem anymore!  With Blendabilities, you can just color one to be the color you need!  I LOVE IT!

As promised, I will link a bunch of products below that you can color with you blendabilities.  Just click on an image if you would like to order any of them.

Don't forget to HOP on over to Ruth's blog today to see what she has in store for us.  I LOVED the glimmer paper yesterday that she did on her card and, I have to say that knowing Ruth the way I do, I wasn't at all surprised to see that she found a way to get glimmer paper in our Blendabilities Blog Hop!  Anyway .... HOP on over to Ruth's blog by CLICKING HERE.

Until next time, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

Blendabilities ~ Day 3

Hello Friends!

Today is day three of our Blendabilities Blog Hop.  Today's card shows what you can do with a little black card stock, white embossing powder and blendabilities ... the possibilities are ENDLESS.

All I did was stamp the pansy image with versa mark ink and then emboss with white embossing powder.  Then I colored over the embossing powder with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities markers.  Because they are alcohol based you can color on SO MANY different things with them!  (And because you embossed on black cardstock, you can't see if you "fall off" your embossed lines with your marker!)

Please be sure to click over and visit Ruth's blog today as well! She's been showcasing some fabulous projects!  You can get to her blog by CLICKING HERE.

And if you're already sold on Blendabilities, then you can click on any of the images below to order yours!

Thanks for stopping by.  Here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very blessed day!
