Register Today! ~ Creating Women of God

Hello friends!

I am so excited to introduce a new event I will be hosting in May called "Creating Women of God".  Registration is open on a first-come, first-seated basis and space is limited, so sign up right away!  Registration will close on Friday, April 20th (unless spaces are filled sooner).

I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for close to seven years now and from the very beginning of my "business", I have always felt that my stamping hobby is a ministry.  I am finally taking the next step to actually hold an event centered around being creating women of God ~ using creativity to make faith-based cards and gifts.  At the same time, I'm happy to present two amazing speakers who will help us grow in our faith journey.

Cynthia Davis, author of a dozen books, including 6 Biblical novels will present a talk titled "Gifted and Grace Filled"  How often do we not realize how gifted we really are? God has blessed each one of us with gifts and showered us with the grace to live into those gifts. Naomi in the Old Testament had a hard time understanding that her life was, in fact, full of God’s grace. Like Naomi, we sometimes think we don’t have anything to offer. Cynthia will introduce us to the heart of Naomi and help us discover God’s gifts and grace in each of our lives.  Several of Cynthia’s books will be for sale at the event.  Cynthia will also lead us in a creative activity called a Faith Tree at the end of her talk.

Anne Duran is the Director of All Angels Episcopal Day School.  Married to the love of her life, Frankie and blessed with a beautiful daughter, Ema, Anne is well qualified to speak to us about "Everyday Blessings".  At the end of Anne's talk, we will be working on a "Blessing Jar" for each participant to take home and further reflect on the everyday blessings in our lives.

In addition to the two creative projects tied to Cynthia and Anne's talks, we will also be making six faith-based cards using Stampin' Up! products.  You will need to bring your own adhesive, but everything else you need will be provided for you.  The cards will be the perfect tool for you to take home and use to minister to and bless the people in your life.  Sadly, in our age of digital media, receiving an actual card in the mail these days is a rarity.  And receiving a hand-stamped, faith-based card with hand-written words of encouragement on the inside?  Well ~ that's priceless!

I hope you will join us for what is sure to be a morning of joy, fellowship, friendship, faith-based teaching and creating.  Space is limited, so sign up soon!

When:   Saturday, May 19   9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Where:  St. John's Episcopal Cathedral ~ 318 Silver Ave SW ~ Albuquerque
Fee:       $30 ~ includes all the supplies you need (besides adhesive) and a light brunch
Deadline:  Friday, April 20

Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time, wishing you many creative adventures and a VERY blessed day!

Creating Women of God Event

Hello friends!

It has been a LONG time since I have posted anything on my blog ... but when I come back, I come back with a bang!  I am so excited to introduce a new event I will be hosting in May called "Creating Women of God".

Countdown to Vegas ~ Day 2

Hello again friends!

I'm back today to share the second card I sent to my mom in anticipation of our mother-daughter vacation to Vegas.  She received this card last week .. one week out from our trip ...

I just love this card.  In my haste to write some cute comment to my mom on the inside, I took a picture before I got a picture of the inside of the card, but when you open the card, the inside says "Goes on Facebook" .... BWAHAHA .... What happens in Vegas goes on Facebook.  I'm so clever.  LOL!  (Again, the Stampin' Up! rotary stamp made it possible for me to stamp a clever little sentiment)  I wrote a note to my mom on the inside that she's been warned!  I love posting pictures of our mother-daughter trips on Facebook and she just hates it.  LOL   Luckily, she loves me, so she tolerates my disobedience fairly well.

Check back tomorrow for THE CUTEST Vegas card ever.  I'm just gonna go ahead and put that out there ... it's THE CUTEST VEGAS CARD EVER .... because I said so!

Until next time, friends, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very blessed day!

Countdown to Vegas!

Hello friends!

Today I'm starting a three day series (is three days considered a series?) ... anyway ... I'm starting what I'm calling a three day series showcasing cards I made for my mom for the three weeks leading up to our annual mother-daughter vacation to VEGAS!!

I wanted to send her a different card each week that was Vegas themed up until we leave.  The card I'm showing you today is the card she got first (two weeks ago) ...

This card has lots of bling ... just like Vegas.  Unfortunately, the cherries are retired (from Button Buddies), but I couldn't resist using them on a Vegas themed card.  The sentiment (Feeling Lucky!) was fun to create with the Stampin' Up! rotary stamp.  It takes a little getting used to as it's not quite like stamping with our regular rubber stamps, but once you get the hang of it, it's so fun thinking of all the different sentiments you can make with this one little (actually it's kind of big) stamp!

Well that's it for today.  Tomorrow and Friday I'll have two more cards that mom has already received leading up to our trip.  I hope you'll stop back by to check it out.

Until next time, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very blessed day!

In-Color Sneak Peek Party

They're here!!!  The new Stampin' Up! 2015-2017 in colors have just been released and they are YUMMY!!

Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe ... YUM!  So ... two disclaimers about these colors .... #1 ~ Yes, Macaron is spelled correctly (at least how they spelled it in the catalog ... I, personally would have spelled it Macaroon, but I digress) ... and #2 ~ I find it funny that four of the colors have yummy names that make your mouth water and then you have Tip Top Taupe .... whimsical, yes! ... but not edible like the others .... again, I digress.

I am so excited about these colors because they will be the focus of my May "Retreat"!  I put retreat in quotations because I'm going to do things slightly different this month since I'm doing a bit of a catalog sneak peak ... more on that shortly.

We will make three make and take cards and in the process, use all five new in colors so you get to see them up close and personal!  This month, you have two options for attending this exciting event:
