Stampin' Friends

Hello again, friends ~

You know what one of my very favorite things is about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator?  The friendships!  I love spending time stamping with friends or sharing ideas with friends or just TALKING about stamping with friends!

Recently, I had the fabulous opportunity to attend a friend's scrapbook retreat weekend and it was AMAZING!  Michelle hosts scrapbook weekends several times a year and this was the first time I attended.  It was SO MUCH FUN and I can't wait until I can go again!  She spoiled us so much and had so many amazing ideas to share.  Don't tell Michelle, but I would pay two or three times what she charges to attend her scrapbook weekend ... it's THAT fabulous!

Anyway ... Michelle is so sweet that after the event, she sent a card to thank me for attending!  This is the card she sent me:

Isn't that super cute!?  You know the cool thing about this card?  Michelle used supplies from the June Paper Pumpkin kit to make this card. In the kit, the pinwheels were attached to straws and were meant to be decorations for the 4th of July holiday.  Michelle repurposed the pinwheels to make this cute card.  Pretty clever!

What is Paper Pumpkin, you ask?  It's a fabulous monthly subscription that packages EVERYTHING you need (except adhesive) to make really cute projects in one little kit delivered directly to your door every month.  Do you want to know more about it?  You can find out more HERE.

Before I wrap up this post, I have to give a shout out to my friend, Michelle, and say that if you want to know more about her scrapbook weekends or if you want to see some of her cute creations, you can check out HER BLOG HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please come back tomorrow for the debut of "Faith-based Fridays" on my blog.  Every Friday I will be sharing cards and projects that are focused on my Christian faith.

Until then ... wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed Day!

What's Up Wednesday

Hello again, friends!

It's time once again to ask ...

And the answer is .... THERE IS A LOT UP today!  Here are all the new and exciting updates that Stampin' Up! released yesterday:

NEW STAMP SETS:

Stampin' Up! is releasing three new stamp sets ... including two Christmas sets and a super cute set of little boys ...

How cute is that little fox and alligator / dinosaur?  I love that set so much!  You might take note that the "Christmas Bliss" and "Dear Heart" sets are photopolymer.  Our photopolymer sets are awesome ... they are completely clear and you mount them on a clear mount block.  It makes it so easy to line them up!  I could stamp a little face right inside that round picture frame without ever needing to break out my stamp-a-majig to line things up!  Super easy and hassle free!

FREE Stamp Set and Framelit Set

Well THAT got your attention, didn't it!?  If you have been wanting to get a Big Shot (and TRUST ME, you WANT to get a Big Shot), August is the month to do it!  You get a free stamp set and free set of framelits with your Big Shot!  That's a major good deal!  And even if you already have a Big Shot (because you are obviously a super-wise person) then you can still save 15% off these bundles in the month of August!  Go ahead and INK it in to next month's budget!

FREE PAPER TOO!

We still have our buy 3 get 1 free deal going on with our designer series paper!  I already took advantage of this sweet deal ... you should too!

Super Savings on the Clearance Rack!

Speaking of good deals, you have got to check out our clearance rack tomorrow!  A little birdie told us there are lots of new goodies being added and you won't want to miss out!

WEEKLY DEALS!

And finally .... don't forget to take advantage of this week's weekly deals!  There are some great items on there this week!  That Artisan Label punch is super hot right now and $11.96 is a STEAL for it!  And that retro-fresh journal .... ask me about doing a private "Prayer Journal" class for you and some of your friends!  It makes a BEAUTIFUL journal and at $8.21, you need to make some for Christmas gifts this year!

Okay, my friends .... that was A LOT of good stuff to share, right?  To take advantage of any of these deals, shop online at my store by CLICKING RIGHT HERE or by sending me a message or giving me a call.

Until next time, I am wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed Day!

The big 13!

Hello again, friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July holiday!  What a blessing it is to call ourselves Americans!

I spent the weekend in Raton with my family and we had a WONDERFUL time.  While I was there, we celebrated by niece's 13th birthday!  It's so hard to believe she's a teenager ... I remember her daddy (my brother) carrying her out from the delivery room and I was thinking "why did they put a pink hat on that baby!?" ... (I was convinced they were having a boy.)  She was an adorable little baby and now she is a beautiful teenager (inside and out)!  I'm so proud of her!

Well ... since it was a "BIG" birthday, my mom planned on giving her cash for her birthday.  She was going to just put some cash in her card, but you know I couldn't allow that!  LOL  So I took a peek at Pinterest for some fun ways to give cash and found THIS fun idea and so we had to run with it!

Here's what we came up with:

How stinkin' cute is that!  I thought it was so cute to put the money in a box of tissue!  And the cute little sayings on the box were right up Madison's alley!  (She's got such a great sense of humor!)

I'd say she really liked the gift ... what do you think?

It was definitely a hit!  Pinterest to the rescue once again!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my blog.  If you have any questions or comments, I'd love to hear them!

Wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

Freedom Friday!

Happy 4th of July, friends!  I hope you are taking some time today to reflect on what a blessing it is to live in this beautiful country.  I know I am!  I'll be in Raton this weekend enjoying time with my family and enjoying all the wonderful things about a holiday in a small town.  For such a small town, Raton puts on one of the very best fireworks shows I've ever seen!  I can't wait.

Today's card is a card I mailed to my mom this week in anticipation of my visit and of the holiday.

Unfortunately, this has been a VERY busy week and so I didn't have time to go back and make the notes about all the supplies used on this card.  I can tell you that the stamp set used to make the flag is "Work of Art" ... I just love that set ... it's so versatile!  And that the "God Bless" actually says "God Bless You" and I just masked off the "you" part so that I could add America.  If you would like more details about this card or how to duplicate it, please send me a message and I am more than happy to share!

Until next time, please have a safe weekend.  Wishing you many creative adventures and a very Blessed day!

Up-Cycled Container

Hello again, friends ~

Today I have a fun project that we did for my most recent class that focused on Washi Tape.  If you aren't familiar with Washi Tape, it's a fun, inexpensive product that can be used in TONS of different ways to create great projects.  Washi Tape isn't just for scrapbooking or card making ... it can be used in home décor, on gift packaging, to make custom pens or note pads, or so many other things!  Today I'm using it to add a bit of fun to my up-cycled embellishment container.

When you buy Stampin' Up! embellishments like buttons or antique brads, they come in these little plastic containers:

As a major Stampin' Up! addict ... I'm mean CONSUMER, I have many, many of these empty containers that I've been hanging on to because I knew they could be used for "something".  Well ... for my last class, I decided we would dress them up and they could be used to give small gifts or little treats.  So here's what I came up with:

Who wouldn't love getting a little treat in that fun container!?  The best part of it is that it costs only pennies to make since I already had the container and you could basically use scraps for the cardstock pieces you need!

Well ... That's it for today.  I hope you enjoyed today's project.  As always, if you have any questions about how to do this project (or any project you see on my blog), please leave a comment or send me an email.  I would love to answer your questions.

Wishing you many creative adventures and a Blessed day!

Hugs and Kisses

Hello again, friends!

Today I have a really easy but cute card to share with you.  I made this card for my mom a little while back.  There's not much to it ... start with a Lost Lagoon card base and add a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I used the "Work of Art" stamp set and did three "strokes" of color with Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss (three of our 2014-2016 in colors).  On a separate sheet of whisper white, I stamped hearts from the Work of Art stamp set in the three colors and snipped them out using my Stampin' Up! paper snips (the BEST scissors ever!).  I popped some Stampin' Dimensionals under the hearts to make them "pop" and then gave each heart a pearl jewel to pretty them up a bit.

The sentiment is from the photopolymer stamp set "Countless Sayings 2".  I love the photopolymer stamps.  Because they are clear it is super easy to see where you are stamping and line things up.

That's all for today, friends.

Wishing you many creative adventures and a Blessed Day!
