Butterfly Beauty

Hello friends,

It's been a little while since I blogged, but when I made this card for my mom, I just knew I would want to share it with you.  I just love how it came out:

The butterflies are from the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack, which you can only get FOR FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration (which ends on Tuesday, March 31st!)  The vellum is kind of a grey tone and comes with 2 each of 12 different prints.  I colored the back side of the vellum with markers and I just love the way it came out!

If you want to snag some of this paper, be sure to place your $50.00 order before the end of the day on Tuesday.  You can shop online at my store by CLICKING HERE.  Once your merchandise totals $50, you can order this vellum (or another Sale-a-Bration item of your choice) for free.  The code for this vellum is 138639.

Be sure to check back next week (hopefully Monday) for all the details on the all day crop I'm hosting tomorrow.  I am expecting seven wonderful ladies and it's going to be a great day!  I'll share pictures on my blog on Monday.  Hopefully you can make it for my next crop which will be on Saturday, April 25th.

Until next time, here's wishing you many creative adventures and a very blessed day!

Up-Cycled Container

Hello again, friends ~

Today I have a fun project that we did for my most recent class that focused on Washi Tape.  If you aren't familiar with Washi Tape, it's a fun, inexpensive product that can be used in TONS of different ways to create great projects.  Washi Tape isn't just for scrapbooking or card making ... it can be used in home décor, on gift packaging, to make custom pens or note pads, or so many other things!  Today I'm using it to add a bit of fun to my up-cycled embellishment container.

When you buy Stampin' Up! embellishments like buttons or antique brads, they come in these little plastic containers:

As a major Stampin' Up! addict ... I'm mean CONSUMER, I have many, many of these empty containers that I've been hanging on to because I knew they could be used for "something".  Well ... for my last class, I decided we would dress them up and they could be used to give small gifts or little treats.  So here's what I came up with:

Who wouldn't love getting a little treat in that fun container!?  The best part of it is that it costs only pennies to make since I already had the container and you could basically use scraps for the cardstock pieces you need!

Well ... That's it for today.  I hope you enjoyed today's project.  As always, if you have any questions about how to do this project (or any project you see on my blog), please leave a comment or send me an email.  I would love to answer your questions.

Wishing you many creative adventures and a Blessed day!

Kim
